It was a stately soiree as Lake District Hotel Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa held their third black-tie Kitchen Rivals event.
The doors of the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa opened for professionals from law firm Baines Wilson and Barclays Bank who were presented chef whites to see who could create the best three-course meal plus canapés.
Each of the kitchen teams was fronted by two of Lake District Hotels' own chefs who offered a helping hand.
This charity banquet was VIP invite only and guests enjoyed an elegant welcome reception in the stylish conservatory before stepping into a winter wonderland and being separated into two teams and after the dinner were asked to pay what they deemed their meal was worth.
It was close but Baines Wilson were crowned the winners for the third time running. The black tie banquet, which also featured a raffle and auction with excellent prizes such as gift hampers, restaurant vouchers and a trip to Marrakesh, raised £24,000 for three charities; Keswick Scouts, Cumbria Community Foundation and Carlisle Eden Mind. Kitchen Rivals will return for round four in 2021.
