James Bond was the theme for a school fundraising dinner at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, Knutsford.

Parents and staff from Cheadle preparatory school, Lady Barn House raised £8,000. The evening included musical performances from artists paying tribute to Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, Carly Simon and Adele. The event brought the school’s fund-raising to £20,000 for the year.

Head teacher Sheila Marsh, said: ‘It was a wonderful night that brought the Lady Barn family together. We are blessed with wonderful support from our parents.’ w
