Bolton Whites Hotel is situated in the heart of the North West with many impressive and modern suites including Reflections, offering luxury and exclusivity, ideal for companies, families and friends looking to host memorable private dinners and events. This was the location for the latest Lancashire Life dinner.

The first thing that strikes guests walking over the entrance bridge into the restaurant and away from the rest of the hotel, stepping into your own exclusive space, is the extraordinary view.

The hotel is fully integrated into the Macron Stadium, home to the town’s championship football club, Bolton Wanderers, a unique location which allows for some stunning views overlooking the pitch - a definite talking point among guests.

Reflections is spacious and contemporary with elegant surroundings and an abundance of natural daylight thanks to the large floor to ceiling glass windows which offer panoramic views of the stadium.

Suitable for comfortably hosting private dinners for up to 70 guests, the decor is modern and stylish, in keeping with the rest of the hotel, and the suite boasts a number of secluded booths overlooking the pitch.

On arrival we were greeted with a refreshing drink and delicious canapés served, courtesy of Gravity Live, by a living table, a waitress in fantastic show-girl costume, complete with lights!

From the first bite it was no surprise that the hotel’s official caterers are Heathcote & Co. headed up by Paul Heathcote, a former Michelin star holder at his Longridge restauarant.

The canapés included black pudding balls coated in breadcrumbs and smoked and cured salmon parfait en croute.

After admiring the views and enjoying the atmosphere with soft music playing in the background it was time for guests to take their seats.

The starter was a crispy hen’s egg with young vegetable salad finished off with cauliflower and truffle puree - a curtain-raiser reinforcing the high quality food on offer. This was followed by the main course of roast Fillet of beef served pink with potato, nutmeg infused spinach, and caramelised carrots with a drizzle of red wine jus. The dessert was a mouth-watering strawberry cannelloni served with an assortment of strawberry flavours.

Carl D’Arcy, who is the national sales manager at Bolton Whites Hotel, said: ‘We’re proud to be able to offer Reflections as a suite to hire for private dinners. With the exclusivity and the views that Reflection’s can offer, we feel that it allows us to stand out from the crowd. It really is the perfect space for a corporate dinner with a difference, a small and intimate wedding breakfast or any private event.’

Reflections certainly has that ‘wow’ factor giving totally different meaning to the term a ‘room with a view’.
