A glittering ball was staged to raise much needed funds for a new centre for the homeless in Lancaster.

Lancaster District Homeless Action Service (LDHAS) staged the event at the Lancaster House Hotel so they can continue to provide hot meals, practical support and essential services for homeless and vulnerably housed people in and around the city.

The charity has been doing its work for over 20 years from their centre on Edward Street. However, the land housing the shelter has been sold for development so the LDHAS is now faced with relocating and is fundraising for a new home.
