Alumni from as far afield as Australia, Hong Kong and Peru travelled to Lancaster University to join in the 50th anniversary celebrations. About 280 guests, alumni and staff, attended a dinner in the Great Hall hosted by Vice Chancellor ,Professor Mark E Smith.

Guest of honour was Game of Thrones actor Roger Ashton-Griffiths, who studied music there from 1975-1978. He said: ‘It was a life-changing experience and travelling back brought back deep and fond memories.’
