Living Edge celebrated its 15th birthday in style recently at the Lymm Hotel
Living Edge celebrated its 15th birthday in style with lavish luncheon at one of Cheshire’s most delightful hotels.
Guests enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of the Lymm Hotel as well as great food and a fabulous prize draw to mark this milestone in the magazine’s history.
They learned that the 62-bed venue on Whitbarrow Road has a major claim to fame as the hotel where the Brazilian Squad stayed during the 1966 world cup and even trained in the car park. Manager Philip Pasteiner also revealed that the legendary Brazilian former footballer, Pele slept in the hotel’s Honeymoon Suite for the duration of his stay.
Warrington-based Chair Angels made sure the room had a lovely dressed up look, by taking the seating up to another level with bold red ribbons and stunning flower arrangements on each table from Lymm-based Karl Wesh Floral Design added a dash of bright colour.
Guests feasted on the “deli buffet” selection which was the perfect choice for a relaxed occasion, tucking into mini beef pies, a selection of sandwiches, mini fish and chips, mushroom crumble, mixed leaves salad, cous cous, lemon posset and fruit fool., plus a birthday cake from Slattereys.
Another highlight of the luncheon was a prize draw, which was organised with the help of donations from local businesses.

Sale-based Laserina offered a single session of Vitamin Mesotherapy - facial which prevents, corrects and reduces ageing effects. Vicki Allen, a boutique based in Hale, donated £50 voucher to spend on gorgeous accessories or to go towards a party outfit, Loved the Advanced Skin Clinic and Spa based in Bramhall gave a facial and Mottram Hall Hotel donated a Sunday lunch for two at its Carrington Grill.
There was a simply dazzling prize from Randalls fine jewellers in Altrincham of a Spinning jewellery leather bracelet worth £65 and an amazing £300-worth of teeth whitening from Re Enhance skin, body and dental clinic based in Hale.
Cheshire Caci clinic in Sale offered a facial or faux tan to one lucky winner and there were £50 vouchers from fabulous Cheadle Hulme based boutique Andrea Claire and sensational Susie Blues in Sale.
Dinner for two was also on the menu from the charming Swan with Two Nicks in Little Bollington.
