The Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy fund has joined forces with one of the Cotswolds’ leading law firms, which has pledged its support to the charity for the coming year.

A full calendar of fundraising activity is already in the pipeline for the lawyers at Willans LLP and includes a celebratory carol concert where supporters of both businesses are invited to join in with the festive spirit.

Karen Organ, LINC fundraising manager said: “LINC is an important local charity working to improve the care of cancer patients in Gloucestershire. We provide financial and psychological support for patients, their family and loved ones, from initial diagnosis, during their intensive chemotherapy and their continued treatment with us.”

James Grigg, partner and head of Willans’ charity committee, said: “We are pleased to have chosen local cancer care fund LINC as our charity for the year 2015/2016. They are very active in the community and work incredibly hard to provide both financial and psychological support to help people cope with their diagnosis and keep families and relationships together.”

The hour-long concert will take place at the beautiful, candlelit Cheltenham College chapel on Tuesday, December 1. There will be a mixture of popular carols led by a local choir and light-hearted Christmas readings read by former LINC patients and the Willans team.

Claire Charlton, also from LINC said: “LINC is absolutely delighted to be chosen by Willans as their charity this year and appreciate all of their support. The Christmas carol concert at Cheltenham College Chapel will be a splendid event to start off the Christmas season and we look forward to working with Willans in the coming months at future events.”

Matthew Clayton, partner at Willans, said: “We wanted to hold a Christmas party for our clients and contacts – but with a twist! The event is a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season and to thank those that have supported LINC and ourselves in 2015.”
