Spring was in the air at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool as famous faces and local dignitaries came to celebrate journalist and local TV legend, Lucy Meacock’s 30 years at Granada Reports.

More than 270 people attended the charity luncheon, organised by Carolyn Hughes PR and set to a backdrop of fabulous blooms. Guests included singer Rebecca Ferguson, actress Gillian Kearney and Lucy's co-presenter Tony Morris. The Voice's Holly Ellison entertained the crowd before a charity auction raised more than £15,000 for Radio City's Cash for Kids.

Lucy shared some fascinating anecdotes from her career, paying homage to the stories and people who'd stayed with her along the way: 'I'm grateful to everyone in the North West for inviting me into their homes for the last three decades.'
