Celebrity chefs to appear at the Royal Cheshire Show

Two celebrity chefs will judge the county’s own version of the Great British Bake Off at this year’s Royal Cheshire County Show, taking place June 20 and 21. Jean-Christophe Novelli and Luis Troyano will be at the Tabley showground, where they will be judging dishes created by you in the Roberts Food Live Theatre.

Visitors to the premier agricultural show are being invited to bake a pie or cake and bring it along to be scrutinised by the guest chefs – all in the hope of winning fabulous prizes.

Categories include under 12s, amateur for keen home cooks and professional to allow entries from those in the industry who want their creations to be judged by the masters.

The celebrity chefs will also be demonstrating their cooking skills on both show days, using the finest, locally sourced produce. Stockport chef and former Great British Bake Off contestant Luis Troyano will be showcasing his bread making skills and home styled recipes. AA rosette and Michelin starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli will create mouth-watering dishes and explode some myths surrounding French cookery.

Attracting over 80,000 visitors each year, the Royal Cheshire County Show encapsulates everything we know and love about summertime in Cheshire. As well as the host of quality produce and food on offer, there is also the all-important agricultural element which features many classes of bulls, cows, pigs, hens, goats and other farm creatures.

Winner of their classes will get to take part in the spectacular Grand Parade of Champions in the main ring, which this year is sponsored by Knutsford business, Delamere Dairy. The main ring will also be packed full of entertainment from the fast and furious pony club games to birds of prey.
