Ten years ago community-minded people in Lytham got together to form the ‘Park View 4U’ group with the aim of providing top quality play facilities on the Park View Playing Fields.
They achieved their goals and a lot more besides and a decade later they staged a ball at Green Drive Golf Club as an official thank you to everyone - individuals, the local authority and businesses - for their support.
The evening raised £3,000 with a grand raffle, an auction and the sale of balloons for £10 a piece giving someone the chance to win diamond earrings worth £1,000 donated by Peter Jackson.
