This is something that many find daunting and we are here to help you make the right choice. As the oldest of our four residential care homes in Cheltenham, Faithfull House offers first-class residential accommodation and facilities in the heart of Cheltenham. Situated in the town’s majestic Suffolk Square in the Montpellier area, its beautifully renovated Grade II-listed facade is a perfect example of Regency architecture. The area is really vibrant and has many independent shops, cafés and restaurants.
We provide secure care for up to 72 residents, who can take advantage of a full programme of activities, enjoy social interaction or privacy as they wish. There are four additional garden apartments (three of which are doubles) for those who wish to live independently with additional services as part of the Faithfull House community. Garden apartment residents benefit from a full laundry and cleaning service. Each apartment includes a kitchen and walk-in wet room, and they can cook for themselves or take meals in the dining room.
There are five lounges in total and a large, airy conservatory and library. Residents also enjoy the spacious private walled garden with beautiful flowers, a fountain, and the popular summer house, which is decorated in retro style to evoke happy memories of the past. The garden also has a vegetable patch and a chicken coup, which the residents help to manage.
Lifts serve every floor, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Every bedroom is fitted with telephone and television points as well as an internet connection with the capability for Sky TV. We endeavour to make each room differ through its decor and residents are encouraged to create a home-from-home with their own furniture and personal items.
As part of Lilian Faithfull Homes’ holistic approach we often befriend the families of our residents and encourage them, where possible, to come and participate in events at Faithfull House. We provide regular updates to family members to maintain our high level of person-centred care.
Faithfull House runs a full activities programme both within and outside the home. Regular in-house activities include music, dance, art therapy, card and memory games, Scrabble, a cooked breakfast club, fitness sessions, visits from The Cheltenham Ladies’ College pupils, crafts, parties and Scalextrics. Come rain or shine, day trips take place every week to discover scenic spots in and around the Cotswolds.
One of the most notable aspects of daily life at Faithfull House is the high-quality dining experience. The catering team provides an excellent standard from morning to night. Residents can choose anything they wish for breakfast and a cooked breakfast is always available. Lunch is a three-course meal, always beautifully presented. We can host private family meals on special occasions so residents can enjoy a special celebration surrounded by their loved ones.
