Pupils pull out all the stops to mark the end of the school year in glamorous style

A leavers' ball is a rite of passage for students and sixth formers from three Manchester schools enjoyed a celebratory finale celebration as they attended the glamorous black-tie Leavers' Ball at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. Around 300 students from Withington Girls' School, Manchester High School for Girls and the Manchester Grammar School turned out in style for a memorable evening of dinner, dancing and saying goodbye to classroom life. The evening was jointly organised by an inter-school committee who ensured the black and gold-themed ball was a success. After months of studying for A-Levels, this ball was not only an ode to their school life but also a night of celebration. Withington Head Girl, Florence Bradshaw said, 'The Leavers' Ball is an amazing way to celebrate our time and journeys together as a year group.'
