Liverpool-born singer Marcus Collins has come a long way since being runner-up to Little Mix in X Factor six years ago. As well as recording and writing, Marcus has performed in the hit musicals ‘Hairspray’ and ‘Kinky Boots’.

Marcus showcased his latest venture, the ‘Love Motown’ experience, at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool to raise money for Radio City’s charity, Cash for Kids.

‘Love Motown’ is a live music showcase featuring a talented cast of musicians and singers who have been performing together since 2007. Their music reminds audiences of the big Motown hits that were so popular. It was certainly a winner with the sell-out crowd at the latest fundraising event organised by Carolyn Hughes PR. The event was supported by Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward and her husband Ashley. Hair stylists to the stars Royston Blythe and Nick Malenko also supported the occasion, hosted by Radio City 2’s Simon Ross.

Marcus Collins said: ‘Performing in Liverpool is always a pleasure but the atmosphere at Love Motown at the Hilton Hotel was something special. It felt like family! I am proud to come from such a wonderful, diverse city.’

Carole Clare, Fundraising Manager for Cash for Kids, said: ‘We are enormously grateful to Marcus for his enthusiastic support and for putting on such a fantastic show. His talent and attention to detail have enabled us to raise in excess of £13,000. I am also grateful to Carolyn Hughes PR for her continued support.’
