£2,600 was raised for the Warrington children’s charity Brainwave

Former BBC TV Strictly Come Dancing contestant Gemma Atkinson hosted a glamorous dance contest at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, near Knutsford, which raised £2,600 for the Warrington children’s charity Brainwave.

Ten local business people were trained by and paired with professional dancers from Cadman’s Dance School in Sale. The event was won by Real Housewife of Cheshire Seema Malhotra, who also runs the fashion label Forever Unique.

Seema, who danced to Tina Turner’s Rolling on the River, with her partner Chris Millward, said: ‘It never crossed my mind that I could actually win, it feels great that after all the time I spent practicing with my brilliant dance partner, Chris, and all the nerves, that I actually did a good job and impressed the judges.’
