MORE than 130 ladies dressed up for the inaugural Rainbow House Royal Ascot Ladies’ Day in the Invincibles Lounge at Preston North End Football Club.

Bucks fizz was given to guests on arrival, before a two course lunch with live entertainment from singer Michael Cosgrove.

In between races, guests browsed a range of exhibitor stands especially set up for the event, sponsored by Windoworld. A raffle also raised over £7,000 for the Mawdesley based charity which offers rehabilitation, education and fun for children, young people and adults with neurological conditions.

Carole Cochrane, chief executive of Rainbow House, said: ‘This was a great new event for us and we had a fantastic afternoon with lots of winners. Our thanks go to everyone who joined us and made the day such a great success.’
