Guests at a fundraising ball staged in Hale near Milnthorpe have helped to raise more than £75,000 for the charity Moodswings.
Around 250 people, including cast members from Coronation Street, attended the event, which was organised by John Morphet’s Pure Leisure Group. They took part in an auction for a number of top prizes including two holidays to Barbados.
Preston-born Mr Morphet said: ‘The evening was a huge success and I’d like to thank everyone who came along.’ Moodswings is a Manchester-based charity, founded in 1999, to help people recover from mood problems and the severe emotional distress they can cause.
