A star-studded charity golf day and gala dinner was held at De Vere Carden Park Hotel, near Chester. Organised by the Morgan Foundation, the event was attended by 300 guests and raised an amazing £450,000 for the Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.

Guests included tenor Rhys Meirion, legendary rock vocalist Robert Plant and the Rick Parfitt Junior Band. Money was raised through a combination of golf and dinner ticket sales, as well as auctions. Prizes included a wine tasting trip on the Orient Express, a ten-day holiday to Antigua and tickets to The Royal Variety Performance.

Steve Morgan OBE, who created The Morgan Foundation in 2001 said: ‘The money raised at our event this year will undoubtedly make a huge difference to many disabled children and their families by funding essential and life-changing mobility aids. I’d like to thank everyone who attended for their support.’
