Three hundred supporters attended a special fundraiser at The Pines Hotel, Clayton-le-Woods, near Chorley, for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The event was staged in memory of Stephen Blakeley, age 45, who died in July 2013 from the illness. Team Blakeley were the main sponsors and the organisers were
Stephen’s widow Jacqui Blakeley and Michelle Nix. The guests raised £11,000 for the charity and a repeat event is now being planned.
