Glossop was a scene of glamour and sparkle on the night of the Mummy Lunch Club (MLC) Winter Ball, held at The Venue at Wimberry Hill

The event was the first organised by the MLC – which offers advice for parents in Glossop and the surrounding area – and was sponsored by Bakers Solicitors of Glossop. It was held in aid of locally-based charity Mummy’s Star, which was established in June 2013 in memory of Hadfield resident Mair Wallroth to support women and families diagnosed with cancer in pregnancy or within 12 months of a birth, as Mair had been. It is the first and only charity of its kind in the UK. Together with a raffle and auction, the Ball raised a total of £6,000. For more information on the charity visit www.mummysstar.org
