More than 40 Somerset garden owners who opened for visitors in aid of the National Gardens Scheme in 2013 enjoyed afternoon tea at The Yeo Valley Organic Garden in Blagdon.
Tim and Sarah Mead hosted the event where the first ever NGS Summer Raffle was drawn by Jekka McVicar of Jekka’s Herb Farm.
Somerset NGS County Organiser Lucy Hetherington thanked the sponsors of the main prizes: Brightwater Holidays, Ston Easton Park and Almondsbury Garden Centre. Thanks to garden owners and visitors the NGS nationally donates over £2million each year to nursing and caring charities.
