Over 130 ladies enjoyed Neston Cricket Club’s inaugural ladies’ corporate luncheon.

Renowned for its sportsmen’s lunches, the club felt there was a need to host a ‘ladies only’ event. Guests included business woman Carrie Bate, who appeared on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, and guest speaker Andrew Collinge, the hairdresser.

Ladies enjoyed a three-course meal provided by Cheeky Chilli catering before a raffle to raise money for Andrew’s chosen charity, The Home Farm Trust, which supports adults with learning disabilities. Prizes included a Boodles’ experience for two, donated by Boodles of Liverpool.

Event organiser Jayne Noble said: ‘We couldn’t have wished for a more successful and enjoyable first lunch. We plan on running another event in early October.’
