The time has come to shout about your business success as the West Oxfordshire Business Awards (WOBAs) launched last night with two new exciting categories, announced for 2014 at an event attended by the District’s finest at Witney Lakes.

The new awards for 2014 are the Hexagon Business Centre’s Micro Business Award, established to commend the many home workers that make a significant contribution to the economy, and the STL Communications Employer of the Year Award, created to celebrate West Oxfordshire’s best place to work.

Entering their fourth year, the WOBAs have become a firm fixture in the business event calendar, with their stature growing year-on-year, proving there is nothing quite like winning an award when it comes to raising your profile and boosting business, irrespective of your business size and sector.

“We are lucky enough to have a District with an array of successful businesses but I know there are more out there who could see the results of their hard work commended,” says Jo Sensecall, member of the WOBA organising team. “We want the WOBAs to recognise and present a true picture of our business community, irrespective of size and business sector. This is why we have introduced a new category aimed at home workers and micro businesses that often miss out when it comes to acknowledgement of their success. I strongly urge West Oxfordshire businesses to undertake the painless process of completing and submitting an entry form today!”

Following the judging process, West Oxfordshire’s thriving business community will gather for a fantastic evening event on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 to see this year’s finalists revealed. WOBA will once again host a glamorous Awards Dinner at Heythrop Park on Friday, March 14, 2014 where the winners will be announced, including the overall Coutts Business of the Year Award. The WOBA charity for 2014 is Inclusive Care & Education (ICE), winner of the 2013 Polythene UK Charity & Community Award. ICE runs a variety of activities for disabled children, young people and those with additional needs at a centre in Carterton.
