The historic atrium at Norton Priory museum in Runcorn was the setting for a spectacular celebratory gala dinner which welcomed back the Brooke family after 110 years.

The enchanting evening was held to thank the Brooke family for their role in shaping the story of this remarkable site through its 400 years of history.

Guests enjoyed drinks served in the atmospheric 12th Century Undercroft and dined under the gaze of the 14th century Saint Christopher statue which has survived thanks to the care of the Brooke family through the generations. A fundraising campaign, Norton 50, has started a series of events and special occasions with the gala dinner being inspired by the incredible social events which have graced the Brooke mansion houses. u
