Thornton Hall Hotel, Thornton Hough, hosted a NSPCC ladies lunch, complete with stalls selling jewellery, clothing and lifestyle gifts.
The event was attended by 239 guests, all ladies except for guest speaker, Graham Walton. Graham is the father of sextuplets, and gave a funny and enlightening speech about their life raising six girls. His wife, Janet, was also in attendence and sold some of her books detailing her life as the mother of six children. Approximately £4,800 was raised in aid of the children’s charity.
Annie Hogan, committee member, said: ‘We were delighted with the support we received this year from the Wirral ladies and everyone seemed to have enjoyed a very pleasant lunch in aid of a very worthy cause.’
