Nutters Restaurant in Rochdale was the setting for a ladies lunch to raise awareness and funds for the children’s bereavement charity Once Upon A Smile.

An amazing £8,200 was raised which will help families with both emotional and practical support. The lunch was hosted by actor Daniel Jillings and attended by Edith Conn OBE, Chair of the Trustees of the We love Manchester Emergency Fund.

The event was organised by GMP detective family liaison officer Gill Lee who has seen first hand how the charity has helped with families dealing with the loss of loved ones.

Attendees were served fabulous food and wine; a menu of Goosnargh duck leg confit, seared salmon fillet, golden roast chicken supreme and a trio of deserts and guests were greeted by award-winning chef Andrew Nutter.
