Ormskirk and District General Hospital maternity unit charity event

A charity event held at The Lancashire Manor Hotel in Upholland raised over £6,200 toward the renovation of the bereavement suite within the maternity unit at Ormskirk and District General Hospital.

The ball was attended by 125 guests who enjoyed a drinks reception and three course meal. Entertainment was provided by hosts Trevor Ford and Dave Quinn as well as the hospital band ‘The Undecided’ and DJ Tony Lee from A&B Entertainment.

Stephanie Atherton, a midwife on the delivery suite at Ormskirk DGH, said: ‘It was a great night. Due to the success we are looking at organising our second annual ball for September 17.’
