More than £1,500 has been raised for Core UK, a charity committed to fighting all digestive diseases, at an annual fashion show held at Ormskirk School.
The event was organised by Shine, a bespoke programme written and directed by pastoral mentor, Hayley Coggins, designed to inspire the lives of young people through creativity and enterprise while building confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
The ‘Shine around the World’ event saw students lead the audience on a journey around London, Paris, Barcelona, New York and Venice through fashion, art, dance and food.
Headteacher, Martin Kerridge, said: ‘It was a wonderful evening and I am still buzzing from the sheer joy of it all. It was inspiring to see how much the students have clearly gained from the programme and how they excelled in their own ways on the evening.’
