An Oxfordshire-based design studio, Red Box New Media Limited, have lifted the lid on the work they created for Hollywood studio, Twentieth Century Fox, to promote ‘Wolverine’, one of the most-loved characters from the ‘X-Men’ series.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.

As part of an on-going relationship, Twentieth Century Fox commissioned Red Box New Media Limited to create a huge set of digital marketing elements for use as promotional assets around the world by both Fox and selected media partners, often as part of exclusive deals.

Adam Jennings, Founder and Director at Red Box New Media Limited had an immense amount of fun on this campaign. “We’re a small team who are very lucky to be working with some of the biggest brands in the world. We’ve been involved with every film to feature Wolverine since Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men’ in 2000”, Jennings explains. “So it’s great to be able to revisit this character again and see him in this unique setting. I’m really proud of the work we’ve done on ‘The Wolverine’ and I look forward to seeing the feedback we get.”

Red Box New Media Limited has produced over 50 different digital elements for ‘The Wolverine’, which opens in UK cinemas on July 26. A large portion of the assets will be translated and used in many countries throughout the world, resulting in millions of people seeing the work in some way shape or form.

“We produce a lot of work for Twentieth Century Fox and are proud to support them and the movies they make”, says Adam Jennings, Founder and Director at Red Box New Media Limited. ‘The Wolverine’ is the latest collaboration between Red Box New Media Limited and Twentieth Century Fox, with other recent titles including the number-one comedy ‘The Heat’, fantastic family fun with ‘Epic’ and the hillarious ‘The Internship’, starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughan.

Previous work for Fox includes the BAFTA award winning ‘Life Of Pi’, ‘Prometheus’ and ‘The Simpson Movie’ to name a few.

‘The Wolverine’ was released into UK cinemas on July 26 2013.
