A glittering fundraiser was held at Bertram’s restaurant at the Woodland Spa in Burnley. The ball was in aid of Pendleside Hospice which provides care for adults with life-threatening illnesses within Burnley and Pendle. Almost 160 guests took part in a raffle and auction that raised £7,576.

Lancashire-based singer James Cockerill provided entertainment and Burnley Council chief executive Steve Rumbelow gave a speech. Andrew Wood, managing director of Crow Wood Leisure said that the evening was ‘a great success’.
