Colshaw Hall at Over Peover was the grand setting for a ball to raise money for the Peover parish.

It was hosted by David Irlam, owner of the restored Grade II listed building that he used to call home. David used to run his family’s haulage firm before selling it to Eddie Stobart. He’s has now tranformed the tudor-style hall into a stylish venue for weddings and occasions.

The event, in the Peel Suite, featured an auction and raffle that helped raise over £30,000. An illuminated Eddie Stobart truck outside displayed the winners’ names.

David said: ‘It was such a successful event, and was well-supported by local people and businesses. Everyone had a great time.’
