International Women’s Day was celebrated by over 100 women at an event held at Ribby Hall Village, Wrea Green.

Hosted by Pink Link Ladies Networking. The ‘Be Bold For Change’ themed event honoured the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Two special speakers, business woman Rachel Ray and campaigner Joanne Thompson, spoke about their own personal journeys, illustrating how their passion about what they do and determination has helped them to obstacles. The ladies also raised £375 for Breast Cancer Care through pins and a raffle.

Coral Horn, managing director of Pink Link, said: ‘There is still a long way to go to ensure each individual has a voice, but by holding successful events like this, our ladies can champion, inspire and connect with other like-minded women in business.’ w
