Members of Preston South Rotary celebrated their 50th Charter Night dinner at the Wellington Park Hotel, Leyland.
The evening, attended by 180 people, included a three course dinner and entertainment from comedian, Lee Roberts and band, Voce. Two of the original founding members, Joseph Mather and Tom Wignall, also received the Rotary sapphire badge, an award for 50 years of service.
Organiser John Richardson said: ‘It was a brilliant night. ‘The only sad part is that Joseph was unable to attend to receive his 50 year award, but his daughter accepted it on his behalf. Hopefully we can present it to him soon.’
