An evening of fun and fundraising, hosted by television broadcaster Paul Crone

The annual winter ball staged to raise funds for Queenscourt Hospice in Southport brought in more than £15,000 for the charity.

There were 230 guests at the Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa to enjoy an evening of fun and fundraising, hosted by television broadcaster Paul Crone. He was also in charge of an auction with bidders vying for a host of top prizes donated by local businesses.

As well as a delicious dinner, there was also entertainment, provided free of charge, from the disco band Soul Searchers, guitarist Will Halligan and the group Shabby Chic. u
