More than £30,000 raised for the charity
Despite the racing being abandoned, the charity lunch for Racing Welfare, held in the Park Suite at Haydock was a major success with more than £30,000 raised for the charity.
Guests were welcomed with champagne before sitting down to a delicious lunch. A raffle, auction and silent auction helped to raise funds. Tipster Dan Kubler offered tips for other races around the country and Duncan McKenzie was Master of Ceremonies.
