A Las Vegas themed ball held at the Guild Hall, Preston, raised £50,000 for Rainbow House, the conductive education charity based in Mawdesley.
After enjoying a welcome drink, 300 guests sat down to a three course dinner followed by live entertainment from Dance with Passion and Elvis Presley impersonator Steve Halliday. A silent auction, auction and raffle included prizes such as a ten day holiday in Cyprus and a pair of diamond earrings donated by HSBC – which were won by Joanne McCallum from Bretherton.
Carole Cochrane, chief executive of Rainbow House, said: ‘Our thanks go to C2V+ and Ward and Burke for their fantastic support, and to the event committee, entertainers, those who donated prizes and to all the guests for helping raise such a fantastic amount.’ w
