The Pinder family from Preesall hosted a special ball at the Village Hotel, Blackpool, in aid of children’s charity Rays of Sunshine, which grants wishes for seriously ill children.
Claire and Scott Pinder’s daughter, Jessica, 10, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia aged six and the charity has since arranged many exciting experiences for her, including meeting JLS and performing at the Royal Albert Hall.
The sell out evening, which raised £14,896, saw 380 guests enjoy a three course meal, entertainment and a surprise from the Singing Waiters.
The family said: ‘The special people that run Rays of Sunshine were there for us when we needed them most and now it was our turn to help them. It was a huge and we would like to say thank you to our family, friends and local businesses for the fantastic love and support.’
