A new discovery

I’ve never tried yoga or Pilates, but when I came across Yoga Trapeze I was intrigued - and after having a session with the amazing Nina Jones I thought this is definitely my kind of yoga! A yoga trapeze is a swing-like contraption that allows you to hang from it in various ways. It also acts as a tool in many other yoga postures and muscle strengthening techniques. At first I was a bit frightened when Nina told me to let go, I was thinking I’m going to fall flat on my face! But the way she had instructed me to wrap my legs in the material meant it held my weight and the stretches and positions I was able to achieve were unbelievable. Nina told me that yoga trapeze is the most powerful, at home yoga inversion tool ever created. So good for muscle strengthening, toning up and it’s great fun too! I absolutely loved it and have definitely found my new hobby!

Girls Trip

Every season on The Real Housewives we all go on a girls trip. This season we all headed to the fabulous city of Athens. Athens is Europe’s oldest capital and the heart of Ancient Greece, once a powerful civilization and empire. The city is still dominated by 5th century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, which was amazing to see. Of course, as well as the sight-seeing, shopping and glam nights out there was a lot of drama too. We had an incredible time so tune in this series to watch all of our Athens antics...

Smile!

Having a bright smile becomes increasingly important as we become adults, in the world of work as well as socially. Sadly, some people feel they can’t smile openly and honestly because of teeth that are misaligned, and they start to hide their mouth or develop a smile that hides their teeth. Last month we held an Invisalign Open Day at my dental practice. Invisalign is a treatment that involves a series of clear aligners that are almost invisible, making them a much more discrete option than traditional metal braces. Loads of people came to see us and I look forward to giving many a smile they can be happy with.

Martin and I have some very exciting news indeed! We will soon be launching our Dr K Training Academy, which will be open to all medical professionals looking to enhance their clinical and business skill set. We have been working so hard on this and feel so passionately about sharing our knowledge and expertise!

Covid-19

In these unprecedented times we must make and endure change that may have previously seemed impossible. In accordance with the current Government advice, I have decided to close my dental practice, Kiln Lane Dental. All routine treatments will be postponed, however we are available for emergency care. This is a challenging time for all small businesses, but we must listen to the Government and put people’s health and wellbeing first. We must do what we can and make it our priority to help our NHS hospitals to function properly in the fight against this awful disease. I hope that during this lockdown period you all stay at home as advised and stay positive in the knowledge that this will get better, that we will see a return to normal life. For now, we must allow our amazing doctors, nurses, emergency services and medical researchers to battle Covid-19, for all our sakes, to make the outside world a safe place to be, once again.
