A lively ‘Red Dress’ cabaret dinner was held at Willington Hall in Tarporley, to raise money for the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. The event was organised by Diana Begbie, the owner of Willington Hall and a grateful heart patient of the hospital.

Around 120 guests attended the event, which began with a champagne reception before a four-course meal in the Hamilton Suite. Toastmaster for the evening was Chris Caroe, and entertainment was provided by singer Matt Roberts and comedian, Mel Blake. A raffle and auction helped to raise in the region of £8,500.

A delighted Christine Kirwin-Bell, head of corporate campaigns at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, said: ‘Diana was keen to support our hospital’s Red Dress Campaign which highlights the fact that heart disease is the biggest killer of women in the UK. The evening was a great success.’
