Here are the remembrance services taking place across Cornwall this year
The country will fall still on November 11 for Remembrance Day, as a two-minute silence is observed at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
However this year, Remembrance Sunday falls on November 10 and services to mark the poignant occasion will take place this weekend in towns and villages across the county.

Truro
On Remembrance Sunday, two minutes' silence will be held at the war memorial at 11am.
At 2pm, a Navy honour guard and parading organisations assemble in Boscawen Street for the civic remembrance ceremony where, again, two minutes' silence will be observed.

Truro Cathedral
Sunday, November 10, services at the cathedral: Eucharist for Remembrance Sunday at 10am. During this poignant and reflective service we will remember all those lost through war and conflict. The service will incorporate the two-minute silence which will be marked by the tolling of the cathedral bell.
Royal British Legion service of remembrance is at 3.15pm. Standards will be paraded into the cathedral and poppy wreathes laid at the foot of the war memorial on Boscawen Street.

Fowey
There will be a church service outside and wreath-laying will start around 10.40am before the two-minute silence at 11am.
This will involve veterans as well as many local groups including, Brownies and Scouts.

Looe
The remembrance service starts at 10.45am at the war memorial.
People wishing to parade and lay wreaths can assemble at the rose garden at 10.15am.

St Ives
At 10.40am the Royal British Legion, St Ives Town Council and other organisations will assemble at The Guildhall, Street An Pol, St Ives.
From 10.50am The Parade will proceed to the war memorial via Tregenna Place and High Street.
The two-minute silence and laying of wreaths will take place at 11am, followed by a parade to St Ives Parish Church, St Andrews Street, for the service of remembrance.
After the service the parade will return to the Guildhall for the National Anthem.

Newquay
Royal British Legion Newquay Club's annual remembrance parade and service, organised on behalf of Newquay Town Council, is to be held at St Michael's Church on Sunday, November 10.
The parade will form up outside Fore Street car park at 9.45am and will march off at 10am, arriving in good time for the service to commence at 10.45am.

Falmouth
In Falmouth, people will assemble on The Moor at 10.25am, on November 10, and head for Kimberley Park at 10.40am.
The service will be conducted at 11am and include a two-minute silence and a wreath-laying.
The parade will then march down to The Moor at 11.30am.

Penzance
This year's remembrance service will take place on Sunday, November 10, at Chapel Street Methodist Church, Penzance, preceded by a Civic Parade, to remember those who have fallen in conflict.
Led by parade marshal Stephen Phillips, the parade will meet at 10am in the forecourt of St John's Hall, setting off at 10.15am to arrive at the church by 10.30am, with the service itself starting at 10.45am.
Following the remembrance service there will be a second civic parade from Chapel Street Methodist Church to the War Memorial at Battery Rocks for the act of remembrance and wreath-laying at 12pm.

Mevagissey
A united Churches Together service of remembrance will be held at St Andrew's Church at 9.45am, led by the Reverend David Hart, followed by a procession to the village war memorial for the laying of wreaths at 11am.

Mousehole
The remembrance events will start at 10am with a general assembly in The Legion Hall, followed by prayer and placing the club memorial cross in The Legion Hall.
A parade to the war memorial will start at 10.45am. A canon will be fired at 11am followed by a two-minute silence.

Port Isaac
Remembrance of those who lost their lives in war will be marked in Port Isaac by a 10.30am remembrance service preceded at 9.30am by Holy Communion and the laying of wreaths at the war memorial at 3pm on Sunday, November 19.
