The men and women who make a major contribution to the tourism industry in the Ribble Valley were celebrated at a special awards ceremony at the Mytton Fold Hotel in Billington.

As well as restaurants, hotels and attractions, the Ribble Valley Tourism Association also recognises the efforts of unsung heroes who go the extra mile in making visitors and guests welcome to the area.

RVTA Chairman Amanda Dowson said: ‘We love to celebrate the success of some of our most deserving businesses and people.’

Awards coordinator Tom Pridmore, the council’s tourism officer, aded: ‘Tourism in the Ribble Valley has had a fantastic 12 months and these awards reflect that success.’ The awards were presented by Lancashire Life editor Roger Borrell.
