More than 80 members and friends of the Cathedral Concert Society, recently renamed Ripon Concerts, celebrated 25 year of recitals and chamber concerts by holding a Jubilee Dinner in the Ripon Spa Hotel.

The celebration included a presentation by Anthony Ogus and Helen Owens recounting Haydn's experience in London.

Guests included 15 founding members, the conductor Xen Kelsey, one of the three musicians who prompted the society to be set up, and four members of the original committee, including the first chairman, Brian Kealy together with Ruth Grenfell, Simon Deller and Mike Porter

The new season of Jubilee Concerts will include the acclaimed Albion Quartet on October 14, followed by the pianist Paul Lewis CBE on Nov 4. riponconcerts.co.uk
