Ribby Hall at Wrea Green was the venue for an evening of fundraising to help in the fight against fracking in the Roseacre Wood area.

More than 180 guests raised in excess of £5,900 to pay for expert representation at the public inquiry into the plans to extract shale gas.

The money will enable the Roseacre Action Group and the parish council to provide strong planning evidence in support of the decision by Lancashire County Council to refuse shale gas exploration at Roseacre Wood.
