The Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and White Rabbit joined over 220 guests to raise £34,000 for Rossendale Hospice at this year’s ‘Mad Hatters’ themed ball, at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester.
As well as these special guests, a Wonderland themed cake was donated by Molly Robbins of Molly’s Creative Cakes. It was auctioned off on the night, raising £1,300 for the hospice. This part of the auction was filmed by Channel 4’s new television series The Extreme Cake Makers, due to be aired in spring 2017.
Sam Morris, community fundraising manager at Rossendale Hospice, said: ‘Rossendale Hospice is indebted to the Special Events Committee who work tirelessly to organise this and other fundraising events. We’d also like thank our sponsor, CFH Design, everyone who attended and all the companies who donated raffle and auction prizes. The event wouldn’t have been possible without your support.’
