An evening of culture was had at Peckforton Castle, Tarporley, when guests enjoyed an opera in the castle’s Great Hall.

Hosted by Pop Up Opera, a modernised version of Rossini’s The Italian Girl in Algiers was performed to a captivated crowd. Guests had earlier enjoyed a four-course meal from head chef, Mark Ellis, who recently appeared on the BBC’s Great British Menu. Delicious courses included a rich braised ox pudding and succulent carved beef fillet, and zesty lemon meringue parfait.
