Two charities benefitted from fundraising at a Las Vegas themed ball at Crewe Hall

An inaugural fundraising ball was held at Crewe Hall, in aid of two charities. The Las Vegas themed event, hosted by the Rotary Club of Bentley Cheshire, raised around £8,500 for Climb, who help those affected by Inherited Metabolic Disorders, and the Alex Staniforth Adversity Fund, fundraising for Young Minds – who support young people affected by mental health.

Over 230 people attended the evening, which included a champagne reception with entertainment from magician Toby Harris, a three course dinner, charity auction and casino tables. Entertainment included live music from Rebekah Ryan, who is releasing a charity single in aid of Climb, a Nantwich-based charity celebrating their 35th anniversary.

Sarah Newcombe, secretary of the Rotary Club of Bentley Cheshire, said: ‘It was a fabulous night and a tremendous team effort from everyone involved. We all said it was so much work and wouldn’t do another, but now we have the bug and we’ve already started to organise the next one for Christmas!’
