Chefs at Salvi’s Cucina restaurant gave friends, family and regular diners a piece of the action when they cooked up traditional Italian treats while they served up news of their expansion plans.

Salvi’s owner Maurizio Cecco and the team presented guests at their John Dalton Street restaurant, Manchester, with classic dishes as they revealed plans for additional premises in the Corn Exchange, a short distance away. Guests enjoyed ripe, pungent Italian cheeses and antipasti with fine wines, before pizzas were created to guests’ orders.

The new premises, Salvi’s Mozzarella Bar, will be part of a major redevelopment of the Corn Exchange, previously the Triangle shopping centre. Salvi’s will feature an outdoor dining and drinking area, as well as an open kitchen inside, at the heart of the restaurant.
