More than 500 people attended Save the Family’s ‘Look Good Feel Good’ health and beauty event at Chester Racecourse which raised almost £3000 in aid of homeless and troubled families.

BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin opened the charity’s first event with a talk and throughout the day there were health and beauty seminars, demonstrations and tutorials. The event also hosted Cheshire’s first ‘Young Make-up Artist of the Year’ competition which was won by 14-year-old Mia Smith-Roberts who won a hamper donated by Chester-based Doll Beauty.

Save the Family’s general manager Tracy White said: ‘The event was a thrilling success for the charity and all the businesses involved.’
