Guests and supporters of Sheffield Theatres were at the annual fundraising gala hosted by artistic director, Daniel Evans and chief executive, Dan Bates. There was a sparkling wine reception backstage followed by a four-course meal in the Grade II listed Crucible, with actors from the stage and screen. The evening also included live entertainment from a host of performers and an exciting auction of money-can’t-buy theatrical experiences.

The money raised from the sale of tickets and the auction goes directly to supporting the future work of the theatres.

‘The support of our audiences is increasingly important in the current funding climate,’ said Dan Bates. ‘Coming to our gala dinner is a great way to give that support whilst enjoying a uniquely special experience. It’s a pleasure to see our guests explore backstage to discover some of the theatre’s rich history.’
