Sri Lankan restaurant also raised funds for various charities

Sri Lankan restaurant Sigiriya celebrated their first anniversary in style with a charity gala dinner dance held at the Radisson Blu Manchester Airport Hotel.

Over 200 people attended the event, enjoying food cooked from the restaurant in Hale, before being entertained by The Gypsies who had flown in from Sri Lanka for the evening. Around £2,300 was raised, proceeds which will go toward the Born Free Foundation, which is a project for elephants in Sri Lanka, and The Christie.
