Skipton Properties celebrated 30 years in business with an Alice in Wonderland garden party at Utopia at Broughton Hall.
Guests were treated to cocktails and canapes and entertained by local jazz band, Frankly Jazz and magician, Mark Waddington. Managing director Brian Verity said: ‘I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved over the last 30 years and I’m excited for the future. I hope the grandchildren can do the same as my daughters are doing now and take the company forward for another 30 years. It truly will be a family business then.’
In their anniversary year, the company has raised £1,000 for every year they have been in business by walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The funds were raised for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity after an employee lost her niece to leukemia.
In addition to this fundraising, Skipton Properties have been giving £1,000 to local charities via their Community Grants scheme. The Firefighters Charity, SELFA, Sutton Brass Band and Skipton Baptist Church are among the causes that benefitted from the grants.
Joel Oxberry, corporate fundraising manager at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity said: ‘I’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the team at Skipton Properties for their very generous donation to our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at our Children’s Hospital.’
